Loved the sandwich they served and not to mention Latte To find it, simply look for the colorful coffee banner hanging prominently at the front of the house. From there, you'll spot a quaint little alley that leads you to the cafe with an inviting decor. The journey down the alley itself is a pleasure, filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the promise of a delightful experience awaiting you at this hidden gem.

Leo & Velveth are the owners and they are amazing. I am so grateful that I stopped by because I was welcomed by one of the nicest people to come across. Their service was beyond excellent, and their love for coffee was felt after the first sip. I tried the orange iced latte which was amazing ! My son loved his cinnamon matcha & my husband was obsessed with the vanilla bean iced latte. We also ate her Breakfast McMuffins made from scratch and they were perfection. Their backyard coffee bar was beautiful. We cannot wait to stop by again. Thank you both for making this such an amazing experience.

Listen… when I asked my fiancé to guide us to the nearest coffee shop that was not a green logo commercialized option, I was not expecting the quality, organic and eco friendly service of this hidden gem in Sunvalley! My goodness. This is the best coffee shop I have been to ever. This wonderful husband and wife owned business offer nutrient dense coffee… WHAT!? Healthy sweeteners and fresh eggs from their chicken coop is just highlights of what they have to offer! Please support them! I hope more places like this pop up because it truly helps the community and our precious environment!

That’s when I stumbled across And I You Café—a backyard café open only Friday to Sunday—and what I thought would be a quick fix turned into one of the most memorable food and coffee experiences I’ve had in LA. They only serve one food item per weekend, and that day it happened to be French toast. I’m not even a French toast guy—but I was hungry, so I went for it. I’m so glad I did. It was light, not soggy or eggy, had the perfect crisp, and was topped with fresh berries. Later I found out the owner, Velveth, baked the bread herself—and it was her first time making it. Honestly? One of the best French toasts I’ve ever had. I paired it with a vanilla bean latte, made with their homemade vanilla bean sweetener (real vanilla bean). It was smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Then I got to meet Velveth and Leo, the husband-and-wife team behind it all. They started this café in their backyard, driven by their love for coffee, community, and holistic wellness. Their story—she’s from Guatemala, he’s from El Salvador—of building something rooted in sustainability, purity, and love completely elevated the experience. Everything they serve is organic, ethically sourced, and made in-house, right down to the sweeteners. Wow, What a fun discovery! This location is a little hidden on a residential street, and is so cute and comfy. The matcha latte I ordered is rich and delicious; a far cry from matcha lattes from chain stores. And they use clean ingredients. Snacks available as well. So happy to have found this small business to support!

Was wandering around Sunland/Sun Valley for the first time looking for a local cafe to work at, and I’m absolutely delighted to find this hidden gem. Velvet and Leo are such a sweet couple! Their coffee shop is currently in a cozy setup in their backyard, open during the first half of the week 8AM - 2PM, and they usually have pop-up events later in the week. Leo is a talented barista and Velvet is a great cook, I hope they can introduce food to the menu soon! I got an orange latte and it was phenomenal. They serve clean, organic ingredients and the quality of their menu really shines. Lots of places to sit and work in their backyard, shaded and sunny. Fast wifi, they were generous with lending out the portable generator, and they have a clean converted space with a bathroom/sink & lounge area. And I You has a really compelling story and unique vision to share with the world, it’s exactly my favorite type of business to support. Keep up the great work.
